The Chair Blanket™ began with a simple observation: outdoor chairs are often cold, wet, or uncomfortable.
The original concept was created by inventor Ryan Brooks, who envisioned a product that could combine the warmth of a blanket with the practicality of a waterproof, fitted chair cover. When entrepreneurs Chris and Tiffany McCasland — founders of the outdoor lifestyle brand City Bonfires — saw the idea, they immediately recognized its potential.
Together, they brought The Chair Blanket™ to life: a cozy fleece blanket and waterproof chair cover in one, designed to transform any outdoor seat into a warm, dry, comfortable place to relax.
Launched in Fall 2024, The Chair Blanket™ quickly gained traction with families, sports fans, and outdoor lovers nationwide.
On March 4, 2026, Chris and Tiffany brought The Chair Blanket™ to millions of viewers when they pitched the product on ABC’s Shark Tank, sharing the story behind the idea and the growing brand.
